Catherine Coury is a native of Detroit and graduate of the University of Michigan. Since 2010, Catherine’s dance career included extensive international touring, as well as the creation and performance of new works with New York City’s Shen Wei Dance Arts, Shannon Gillen, Gallim Dance, & LoudHoundMovement. In 2015 Catherine relocated to Tel Aviv, Israel where she became a certified Gaga Teacher, practitioner of the Ilan Lev Method, and co-founded MARCAT DANCE alongside choreographer Mario Bermudez Gil. Catherine’s choreography has been presented in New York City at the Center for Performance Research and the Playground After Dark. 

 

As a dance administrator, Catherine played an integral role in the development of The Playground NYC and Gallim Dance.
