What excites us most about being dance artists is that our body is our tool. Simple as that. Our definition of being “home” is feeling alive in our body. And when we dance, we are home. We love to create. To be an instrument. To be inspired and to inspire; to aspire for inspiration. We like to work hard. To sweat. To always be a work in progress. To become unattached to the outcome, and to be invested in the process. We see art everywhere. In the mundane and in the majestic - through continuous observation.

 

Being dance artists forces us to be more present to our surroundings and the people we interact with. In return, dance has always provided us with a sense of community. It has consistently made us feel like we belong here: on this planet, in this body, with these people. Sharing phrases, collecting memories, reflecting experiences, and exposing truths. These are the reasons why we dance.

 

Dance satisfies us not only artistically, but it feeds our hunger to be a part of something larger than ourselves. Our passion for movement derives from our passion for language. For us, dance is an open and invitational dialogue. Utilizing our voice and our body, it is our intention to bring expression to communities, to inspire others, and to exchange narratives.
